The secret behind the last door – coaching as an adventure

The coaching process at nderUm is not a classic conversation format – it is a game with depth, a symbolic space for inner movement.

Like in an exit game, you go through stations that challenge, touch and transform you – not through external puzzles, but through the encounter with yourself.

Each room reflects your development: from the call to change to the conscious journey ahead.

You enter as a seeker – and leave as the creator of your own inner map, with a tangible token in your hand.

what are tokens?
  • 1. The Entrance Hall of the Call

This is where the process begins: You clarify why you're coming to coaching and what motivates you. Like an initial room with an open door, it's about your starting point, your questions, and your willingness to embrace change.

  • 2. The Space of Agreement

Together, we define goals, frameworks, and roles. You make a conscious decision about your development path — like a contract with yourself that creates clarity and commitment.

  • 3. The Gallery of Self-Reflection

You'll examine your previous experiences, values, and patterns. This space invites you to honestly introspect – with targeted questions, exercises, and shifts in perspective that enable new insights.

  • 4. The Strategy Labyrinth Garden

Here, you'll develop concrete courses of action. We analyze what empowers you, what inhibits you, and which paths are viable for you – structured, but open to creative solutions.

  • 5. The Space of Action

You'll implement your first steps and test your strategies in everyday life. Like a workshop, this is about experimenting, adjusting, and consciously practicing new behaviors.

  • 6. The Chamber of Knowledge

You reflect on what has changed and what you've learned. This space provides room for review and integration — so that you can consciously perceive and anchor your progress.

  • 7. The Gate of Onward Travel

Finally, we'll discuss how you can continue on your path independently. You'll leave the coaching process with a clear inner compass — and the confidence to shape your next steps yourself.

I provide support because I have experienced firsthand how precious it is to find a space that supports you in difficult times – without pressure, without judgment.

What I wished for back then, I pass on today: clear, structured support that is at the same time gentle enough to allow for uncertainty.

A place where you don't have to function.

You can simply be there. With everything that is.

It is important to me that depth is given space.

That freedom becomes tangible – internally and externally.

And that you feel seen: not as a problem, but as a person in motion.

I'm listening. Really.

With interest, with warmth, with competence.

I don't give advice.

I don't make diagnoses.

I don't prescribe any solutions or medications.

Because I believe: The answers already lie within you.

I will accompany you in finding them – at your pace, on your path.

Maybe you're wondering...

Here I have collected the most common "traps" and how we can find the key together

  • What exactly is coaching at nderUm?

Coaching here is like a well-executed exit game: You don't get ready-made solutions, but rather clues that help you find your own way out of your current "room."

  • How does coaching generally differ from therapy or mentoring?

Therapy looks back, mentoring gives you the answer sheet – coaching lets you solve the puzzles yourself, with a guide at your side.

  • What can I expect from a coaching session?

New clues, fresh perspectives, and a clear plan on how to reach the next level.

  • How long does it take for coaching to show results?

Sometimes a single key is enough, sometimes you need to open several locks – progress depends on your effort.

  • Is coaching confidential?

Absolutely. Everything that happens in the "space" stays in the space.

  • How do I know if coaching is right for me?

If you're ready to get involved in a game where you're the main character - and want to actively participate.

  • What qualifications should a coach have?

Experience in “game management,” a good set of tools — and the ability to challenge without overwhelming.

  • Can coaching help with both personal and professional issues?

Yes – whether you want to escape the “office labyrinth” or a personal dead end, the mechanics are the same.

  • How do I measure progress in coaching?

The puzzles you can now solve on your own and the doors that open for you.

  • What happens if I don't achieve my goals?

Then we'll look for another key together – or find a secret passage you've overlooked so far.

  • “Coaching is too expensive.”

Think of it like a ticket to an escape game that will change your life – the stakes are small compared to what you gain in the end: freedom, clarity, new possibilities.

  • "I have no time."

We integrate the sessions so that they fit into your everyday life – like a short but crucial puzzle that still helps you progress.

  • “I’m not sure if it will work for me.”

Every room is solvable – and I've seen many players think they can't do it… until they suddenly open the door.

  • “I don’t want to be judged.”

There's no game master to deduct points — just a partner to help you see new paths.

  • “I can solve my problems myself.”

Of course you can – but with a good guide you can often find the exit faster and with fewer detours.

  • “I already had a bad experience.”

Not every game is designed for everyone – let’s test it out with a trial round to see if we can find the flow together.

  • “I don’t know what to talk about.”

Don’t worry – I have enough questions and ideas to provide the first clues.

  • “It feels too vulnerable.”

Vulnerability is like the moment when you discover a secret mechanism – unfamiliar at first, then the key to the solution.

  • “I’m afraid of change.”

Change is just a new level – unknown at first, but full of opportunities and surprises.

  • “I don’t want to become dependent on the coach.”

My goal is that in the end, you hold all the keys in your own hand.
